Glass furnaces run around the clock for years between rebuilds, so an actuator failure can quickly affect glass quality and production.
IPT Engineering has supplied, installed, commissioned and supported Beck electric actuators on glass furnaces, forehearths and gas skids, replacing outdated drives on gas and combustion air valves and dampers.
We also support a Beck glass level probe actuator that was installed as original equipment more than 20 years ago and is still in service today.
In 2008, outdated drives on the furnace gas skid were replaced with Beck electric actuators on the gas and combustion air valves. They are still in service today.
