An oil refinery needed to update the ID and FD fan damper controls on its industrial boiler plant, because the existing installation did not meet current regulations.
Beck 11-209 electric actuators were chosen because they met the regulations and were easy to install.
Their low motor current brought a further saving. The cables did not need to run in shielded underground cable troughs, as electric actuators often require, and could go in normal surface cable trays, cutting the installation cost.
The drives were supplied with their mounting plinths. Final commissioning included setting the linkages and crank arms using the Beck Link-Assist™ program. Installation of the two drives took four hours.
