Replacement Hot Air Butterfly Valves for a Steel Plant

Non-standard size, short lead time, easy to strip and clean

A UK steel plant was having problems with the butterfly dampers on a hot air application. The harsh, caustic environment was proving detrimental to the existing dampers.

The Solution

Designed with AMMTech to fit the existing installation

IPT worked with AMMTech to design and supply replacement valves to suit the existing non-standard face-to-face dimensions, on short lead times.

The AMMTech design was favoured by the customer because it can be stripped down and cleaned easily, which is vital in this caustic environment.
